As an account representative you should demonstrate innovative ways to ensure excellent customer service. Generate revenue by developing market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales.

Ultimately, an exceptional Account Representative should be able to develop creative and resourceful methods of sourcing new clients


  • Acting as the main point of contact between the company and clients.
  • Build relationships with new clients and sustain long-term relationships with existing clients
  • Encourage repeat business and ensure that clients are satisfied with company products and services
  • Relaying client feedback to the marketing and quotes, and networking to find new clients
  • Improving sales by attracting new clients through cold-calling, emailing, and following company-generated leads
  • Recommends new products and services by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled
  • Resolving client complaints in a professional manner and reporting them to management as required
  • Developing and maintaining solid client relationships by regularly following up on clients.
  • Contributes information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from accounts.
  • Updates skill set by participating in education opportunities
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate efforts with team members and other departments
  • Analyze territory / market potential, track sales and provide status reports
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends


  • 2-3 years of experience in sales
  • Lighting Knowledge is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Interpersonal skills, team player
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Valid driver license
